TCT’s “You Ought to be In Pictures” Film Festival

If you’ve ever wanted to say to your friends and family that you are an Award-Winning video maker, here’s your shot at stardom! It’s all happening at Tehachapi Community Theatre!

The Way it Works:

• Write, produce, and direct your own original, video. They can be a comedy, drama, satire or even a music video (original music only). No more than 15 minutes in length. Videos created in the past are perfect for this competition! Bring ‘em!
• Upload your videos to your You Tube page. Don’t have a You Tube account? Sure, you do. If you have a Google Account or a Facebook account, you can log into You Tube and upload your video that way. Make sure it is “public” (and not private), and be sure to write down the URL address for your video!
• Next, you simply fill out the TCT On-Line Submission Form and provide us with the link to the video. 
• There is no “entrance fee” for this festival. It’s absolutely FREE to submit your videos.
• There is no ‘theme’ for the Festival, so the choice is yours. Just try to keep it family friendly.
• When TCT receives your video link, they will screen it. Videos that are accepted will be added to the Festival and you will be given a link to the Festival Videos page (and you’re on your way to winning!).
• 3 to 5 videos will be grouped into Competition Groups based upon your video type - comedies with other comedies, and so on. Voting will be done within each small group. (Easier to win!)
• The voting period will run for 2 weeks after the group is posted online. The winner of each group, as determined by the greatest number of votes within a group, will receive a framed certificate and have your picture in the local papers. Cementing your place in history as an award-winning videographer! All votes are the measly sum of one dollar, and your votes go to help TCT stay alive.
• To ensure your video has the best chance of winning, you are encouraged to let all your friends and family know about the competition and to vote for your video. There is no limit to the number of votes that a person can cast. So, have your friends “Stuff the ballot box”! Win the Competition!
• The Second-place finisher in each group will also be given the Opportunity to be placed back into a Future Group, and compete again. So, there’s still a chance to WIN!!
• So get busy, dust off those old videos you made, make new ones you’re sure will win. Show your friends, family and community your talents. It’s FREE to enter and take your shot at becoming a local star! Remember, you can’t win if you don’t enter!!
